The Volga River is deep and so wide in some areas that you can’t see across the river in certain locations. It freezes for approximately three months in the winter each year.
In this new broadcast by Volga class (year 5) the children express their thoughts on the current news and talk about what coding is and what forces they’ve been learnt about in class. At the end, they talk about the theme of the week – “waiting for what you want”.

Beginning high in the mountains of Venezuela and Brazil, the Orinoco River flows through impenetrable rainforest, flooded forests and vast grasslands before ending its epic journey at the Atlantic Ocean
GroveFM’s radio is back with a broadcast from Orinoco class, where the children talk about the news, numeracy and interesting things about them. They also discuss religions and have a debate about whether children should have a voice in which religion they’re brought up into.
A few of the children have made a video to help with addition and substraction. We hope you find it helpful!
