The Thames has featured in many books including ‘Three Men in a Boat’, ‘Alice in Wonderland’, ‘The Wind in the Willows’, and Dickens’ novels, where the Thames is an unpleasant stinking sludge, the scene of many crimes.
Listen to this week’s broadcast by Thames class (reception) where they tell us what they like about Thames class and what they’ve learnt so far.
For World Book Week the children tell the story of Jack and the Beanstalk, talk about their favourite book and describe the story of Journey, a book which was read by the whole school. Finally, listen to Mrs Jarman’s favourite song!
